I called head office at work today and asked about my transfer. It has been provisionally approved for November 1st. Looks like I am going then!<\/p>\n
I’m in two minds about all this. I am delighted to be getting away from my current area as I think I have been treated really badly by some people, however, leaving all my friends and students behind is going to be very difficult. I dunno, I have always loved the school I am in but recently I have (to quote an Americanism) been feeling the love a lot more. I think I am a naturally insecure person and really need to be shown I’m liked to believe it but I am starting to feel I am liked by a few people here (did that make any sense?). The teachers before me left an enormous shadow, the guy would appear to be godlike! Seriously though it’s starting to feel less like I am an imposter in his school and more homely.<\/p>\n
It’s sad because the students love continuity and supposedly don’t like change – which I can appriciate. I feel like I am letting them down a little bit by leaving before I have to but this is something I have to do.<\/p>\n
I didn’t know how I would feel when I heard if I was getting my transfer but I wasn’t as sad as I thought so hopefully when it comes time to go I’ll be OK. It’s a nice area of Kyushu I am going to and I am looking forward to living in a slightly bigger city – Kagoshima (one of the options) even has a cinema and shinkansen!!<\/p>\n
Anson and I seem to have been getting along well and that is another thing I am going to miss. We both are pretty laid back and tolerant of each other and we haven’t had an arguement … yet. I hope his new “room mate” is a decent bloke.<\/p>\n
Anyway, enough of my waffle for one night. Things here are good. I have been setting some decent times on Mariocart Advance on my Gameboy! Although I am shocking at Sonic!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
