For those of you who don&#8217;t know &#8220;Ivan Noble (BBC writer Ivan Noble dies at 37)&#8221;:http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/1\/hi\/uk\/4193093.stm lost his fight with cancer yesterday after a two year battle.<\/p>\n<p>Ivan was a BBC science and technology journalist before his diagnosis. Remarkably he resolved to keep a diary of his experiences. He was a shining beacon of inspiration and I laughed and cried at his columns. He fought bravely and had some terrible set backs (e.g. a remission that barely lasted weeks) that would have destroyed lesser men. He continued on in hope and refused to give in to fear.<\/p>\n<p>He leaves a wife and two young children.
