I dunno, I can’t wait to get home (i.e. Scotland) but there is something special about Onoda.<\/p>\n
I spent the last week in Takamatsu on Shukoku, it was a nice enough place but I missed Onoda desperately. I also felt, frankly, shitty all week. It’s not that I hated Takamatsu, it is a lovely town. It’s a pity I didn’t have the time to look around.<\/p>\n
Takamatsu Nova was nice enough and there are a few seriously cool guys and gals there. The students were nice but it was a big school and had the big school feeling to go with it. It’s weird for me to have a class where established students don’t know each other. Onoda is a much nicer place to work -Japanese staff excluded-.<\/p>\n
As I was saying, I felt really crap all week but I discovered something as I was walking home from the station in Onoda – I felt better! Much better. It was really wierd. I’m looking forward to going to work – it feels like I have been away for ages! I doubt the students at Onoda will have missed me but I sure missed them.<\/p>\n
All of this makes me feel all the more aggrieved at having to go to Hofu this month. It’s another week away that I am not looking forward to. I am really looking forward to being done with Nova and all it’s shit in June, it ruins what could have been an even better experience. But I only have about five months to go and I am done with them.<\/p>\n
It’s not only -school- work though. I am going out to karaoke (pronounced “ka-ra-o-k” not “ka-ri-o-key”) tonight with Jim and I can’t wait to get silly drunk at Mori’s!!! Good times!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
